How Scores Are Calculated

Scoring Method

The score combines three pillars, each weighted by how reliable the source is (tournament databases count far more than opinions):

• Tournament performance: placement-weighted (1st > 2nd > 3rd), scaled by event size and faded over time
• Meta presence: usage share and the number of independent events a combo appears in
• Corroboration: how many distinct trusted sources back it, across languages
• Opinion-only mentions (YouTube, Reddit, theory tier-lists) count, but cannot stand in for tournament proof

Each pillar has diminishing returns, so a combo proven across many events ranks above one that fluked a single small win. The meta shifts fast, so recent results weigh more (75-day half-life).

What Affects the Score

• Placement in tournaments (1st/2nd/3rd) and how often
• Event size — a major win beats a small local
• Recency — results fade with a 75-day half-life
• Independent events and players running the combo
• Reliability of each source (tournament DB vs opinion)

Reading the Ranking

The home page ranks combos over the last 30, 90, 180 or 365 days. "Sort by" switches between the score, the number of top cuts (every placement in an event's final standings) and the number of wins. "Show: Blades" adds up all the builds of each blade (for CX combos, the Main Blade) and shows its share of the top cuts; tap a blade to see its builds.
